The Enchanted Florist (Cumbria) attended their first ever Wedding Fayre at Seacote Hotel St. Bees Cumbria.
On 20th November 2016 The Enchanted Florist (Cumbria) attended their first ever Wedding Fayre at Seacote Hotel St. Bees Cumbria.
It was incredibly hard work and an expensive venture, but here's hoping all our efforts paid off with brides to be choosing us to provide their wedding flowers.
Here are a few example pieces.
Traditional style bride's bouquet with an added delicacy and lightness, using Clematis, Freesia and stippa grass. All the roses are individually wired with the stems removed to reduced the weight. Throwing this bouquet won't knock your guests out if it lands on their head.
A beautiful intricate woven and wired bouquet, using bubble roses and heather. You can add a precious and personal touch by draping crystal or sparkly jewels over the bouquet to catch the light as you move.
This design is a Couture favourite, unusual, and spiders web light. This bouquet features Orchids, Calla Lily, Bouvardia, and feathers, perfect for a snowy winter wedding.
Handbag style bouquet for the Mother of the Bride, or even the Bride herself. The flowers used in this one are the exciting new variety of Rose-Lily. It is a double lily with all the stately beauty of an oriental Lily but without the pollen. It has an enchanting delicate fragrance, unlike its more aromatic sister.
Bridesmaid posy for a child, emulating the larger brides Couture bouquet. The frill around the edge is actually wool.
No wedding party is complete without the floral accessories for the guests. Here we have an over the shoulder corsage, perfect for the slinky strappy summer dresses.

How romantic, not only did he remember his girlfriends birthday, but even knew her favourite flowers and colours, orange and red Gerberas.
Pool noodle, DIY Bauble wreath, surprisingly easy to make. I couldn't find a pool noodle ( child's swimming floatation device) so I used ordinary grey pipe lagging to make the ring. Word of caution crafty-type people, if you are thinking of trying this, use a low melt glue gun and glue sticks. The hot melt glue will melt the foam.
Apologies, the scaffolding is still up and in use at the front of the shop.

The building work to the front of the shop is still ongoing, keeping our fingers crossed for good weather.
We had an auspicious visit from a curious Robin. Our little feathered friend didn't stay long before he found his way out of the shop window unharmed.
The Enchanted Florist Maryport attended the UK School of Floristry on 5th & 6th November with the international designer Laura Leong and 5 times Gold medal RHS winner Joseph Massie for a fabulous Bridal Couture Master Class.
With such talent in the room, how could I go wrong...feeling very pleased with myself
